RB26DETT in the engine bay

RB26DETT is now sitting in the engine bay and looked just like factory fitted engine.

RB26DETT sat in the engine bay just like factory fitted item.
RB26DETT side view in engine bay.
RB26DETT plenum view in engine bay.
RB26DETT turbos view in engine bay.
Minor changes in interior center console.
Minor changes to the pedals arrangement.
Gearbox awaits for tailshaft/york.
New exhaust front pipe is yet to be fabricated to adapt to existing exhaust system.
Factory R32 tailshaft will be used with adapting R33 tailshaft york to connect to gearbox.
R33 tailshaft and other little bits and pieces not used.
Last look at the old RB20DET.
Quick look at front driver guard and nothing special here.
There are few ways to go about doing the conversion, engine mount on the turbo side would need some attention as factory twin turbos from RB26 would get in the way. RB26 sump has two options, one is to swap with RB25 sump (then oil pickup area would need some custom modification), or just remove the front diff and chop/weld up the diff casing of RB26 sump.

Won't be able to help much with the wirings as it is all wired up to MoTeC at the same time when changing the engine.

Use gearbox from R33 GTS25t, with good clutch should be able to handle about 500hp at fly before spending any more money, then it just needs slightly modify the firewall to accomodate the gearbox casing, change R32 tailshaft yoke with R33 yoke on R32 tailshaft and re-balance should do the job.
